Women's Ministry at the Rochester, Minnesota First Church of the Nazarene is a fellowship of love and service in the name of Jesus.
We extend an invitation to join us at our monthly activities. The time and location depend on the activity. The meetings usually consist of prayer, a devotional, coffee, and an activity.
Activities have included a riverboat cruise, packing and mailing "care" packages to our college students, celebrating with wedding and baby showers, visiting places such as the Anderson House and Little House on the Prairie sites, making craft items such as photo albums and note cards, sewing for Bundles of Love, visiting nursing homes, organizing the kitchen, and giving the nursery a special cleaning, preparing Christmas baskets for senior citizens, and making and donating items for MidAmerica Nazarene University's Women's Auxiliary Country Store.
We usually get together for a "birthday" celebration. Sometimes that involves lunch at a favorite restaurant; sometimes we meet at the church and enjoy pizza or chicken or whatever with birthday cake.
